Bonsai Pomegranate, Blue Pot

A bonsai pomegranate tree, festooned with orange blooms, leans away from its blue ceramic pot, its precarious appearance symbolic of balance. Featured in the bonsai collection at Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA, this specimen trained in the shakan, "slanting," style is reportedly over 100 years old.
